Michel S. Tamer
Director & Chief Legal Officer

Mr. Michel Tamer joined Skyview in 2004, possessing nearly ten years of diverse experience in legal and corporate matters. Mr. Tamer is responsible for corporate governance and all legal affairs for Skyview and its portfolio companies, including without limitation, due diligence, transaction structure, debt and equity bridge financings, senior as well as mezzanine and subordinated debts issues, closings, and post-closing transitions.

Early in his career, Mr. Tamer was counsel at many well regarded Los Angeles based firms. Subsequently, Mr. Tamer held various executive positions, including general counsel and Chief Executive Officer of numerous companies.

Mr. Tamer has advised and transacted with clients ranging from small market businesses to public corporations, closely held and emerging companies. He has significant experience in mergers and acquisitions (the purchase and divestiture of businesses, including asset sale transactions, stock transfers and mergers, and related legal matters such as regulatory filings, non-competition covenants and employment agreements), corporate reorganizations, joint ventures, general corporate matters (representation of business enterprises, including corporations, partnerships, LLCs and sole proprietorships concerning their organization, governance, reorganization and liquidation), contractual matters, general business counseling, and commercial transactions. He is an experienced transactional attorney who takes a “ hands-on ” approach to the negotiation, structuring and documentation of complex business engagements.

Mr. Tamer earned a bachelor's degree from Loyola Marymount University and his Juris Doctorate from Loyola University New Orleans School of Law. Mr. Tamer is admitted to practice law before all California state courts and the United States District Court for the Central District of California. He is also a member of the Business Law Section of the State Bar of California, the American Bar Association , and the Beverly Hills Bar Association.
